Because copper is a premium material, we don't trust cardboard. Every Archaic Metal cap is secured inside a custom-built, heat-treated wood crate. This prevents dents and 'fret marks' during transit. Your order is fully insured and shipped via heavy-duty freight to ensure it arrives in 'New Penny' condition.
Please note: Large caps ship via LTL Freight. If your property cannot accommodate a full-sized 18-wheeler, please let us know so we can arrange a terminal pickup or a smaller delivery truck.
If you have a wood-framed prefab chimney chase, a chase cover is the flat metal top that seals it — and it needs to be right.
Every chase cover ships from my shop in Berlin, NJ, hand-fabricated to your exact dimensions — properly sloped for drainage, hemmed edges, and a 3" soldered standing collar around each flue pipe penetration.
Most fabricators treat soldering as an optional upcharge. Here it's standard — every flue penetration gets a 3" soldered waterproof collar built in at no extra cost.
Note: Soldered collars are available on copper, stainless steel, and lead coated copper only. Galvalume and Kynar aluminum covers ship without soldered collars.

Do I Need a Chase Cover or a Chimney Cap?
If you have a wood-framed prefab chimney chase, you need both. The chase cover seals the top of the chase — the cap mounts on top of it. They're two separate pieces. Not sure what you have? Text a photo to (609) 352-9840 and I'll tell you exactly what you need.
How to Order
Send a message with your chase dimensions (length × width) and the number of flue pipe penetrations. Multiple flues or off-center penetrations? Just describe it or send a photo — I'll handle the layout. Pricing depends on size — contact me for a quote.

This turned out absolutely gorgeous!!! Turn around time was impressive. Sean was so easy to work with and responsive. He was willing to work with my contractor for specifications that I did not know.
Of note, freight shipping means it gets delivered by 18 wheeler. That may seem obvious but I didn’t realize they were going to deliver to the shipping address by 18 wheeler. Our property is not suitable for 18 wheelers but our contractor was able to arrange pick up from the freight company when it arrived to our city. The freight company was very friendly and helpful on the phone when they called to arrange drop off. Just something to be planned out if you order something shipped by freight.
I highly recommend Sean and his beautiful work!!
